USDA Opens Applications for $8M Bridge Funding Program

Opportunity: Temporary Bridge Funding Opportunity Program (USDA)
Overview and Eligible Uses: To support the establishment of temporary bridge rental programs for portable skidder bridges, bridge mats, or other temporary water crossing structures, to minimize stream bed disturbance on non-Federal land and Federal land. The program supports temporary bridge rental/loan/cost-share programs with States and federally recognized Indian Tribes to protect water resources and reduce water quality degradation during forestry-related operations.
Amount: No more than $175K per award, for a total of $8M in funding this year.

Eligible Applicants: States (via their State Forestry Agencies or equivalent) and Indian tribes
