Overview and Eligible Uses: The USDA Forest Service is requesting proposals that substantially expand and accelerate wood energy and wood products markets throughout the United States to support forest management needs on National Forest System and other forest lands. Eligible projects will focus on reducing hazards and improving forest health; reducing costs of forest management; and promoting economic and environmental health.
This program supports projects funded through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA),
Amount: $24M in total awards for a maximum of $300K per grant
Award Type: Discretionary
Eligible Applicants: For-profit entities; state, and local governments; Indian Tribes; school districts; community, not-for-profit organizations; institutions of higher education; and special purpose districts (e.g., public utilities districts, fire districts, conservation districts, and ports).
