Opportunity: FY2023 Ocean-Based Climate Resilience Accelerators
Overview and Eligible Uses: This funding announcement addresses the first of two phases of the Ocean-Based Climate Resilience Accelerators program. The program seeks to fund accelerator entities that support entrepreneurs and startups navigating the commercialization of ocean-based climate resilience solutions. Phase One awards will fund accelerator entities in scoping, planning, and designing an ocean-based climate resilience-focused accelerator program that aligns with one or more of the following program priorities: ocean renewable energy, coastal and ocean carbon sequestration monitoring and accounting, hazard mitigation and coastal resilience, and ecosystem services.
Amount: NOAA anticipates approximately $5M in total competition funding and 15 awards of up to $250K each.
Award Type: Cooperative Agreement
Eligible Applicants: For-profit and non-profit organizations, academic institutions, Tribal organizations, state and local government entities and agencies, and Tribal governments are eligible to apply.
