Opportunity: NOAA Alaska Fisheries Indigenous Engagement Program (IEP)
Overview and Eligible Uses: The IEP aims to foster collaboration with Indidigenous Knowledge holders to support climate-informed fisheries and ecosystem policies. Program priorities include supporting existing Indigenous Knowledge networks in Arctic communities, elevating Indigenous Knowledge in existing science, and conducing collaborative and co-produced research.
Amount: A total of $1M is available. NOAA anticipates funding 5-15 projects for approximately $15k-$50k per project annually for up to three years
Award Type: Cooperative agreements
Eligible Applicants: A wide range of applicant types are eligible, including individuals; higher education institutions; for-profit and nonprofit organizations; and state, local, and tribal governments
