New $4B Program for US Public Health Infrastructure, Workforce, and Data Systems Announced

Opportunity: Strengthening U.S. Public Health Infrastructure, Workforce, and Data Systems (CDC)
Overview and Eligible Uses: This opportunity will provide funding to improve critical public health infrastructure needs. This investment will help ensure that U.S. public health systems are ready to respond to public health emergencies like COVID-19 and to meet the evolving and complex needs of the communities and populations they serve. The program will provide cross-cutting support to public health agencies for critical infrastructure needs related to workforce, foundational capabilities, and modernizing public health data systems.
Amount: Awards will be made between $3M and $162M, up to a total of $4B

State governments (includes District of Columbia)
Special district governments
Local governments (includes county, city, and townships) serving a
County population of 2,000,000* or more
City population of 400,000* or more
Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianna Islands, American Samoa, Guam, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau.
