NOAA Opens Applications for $3M Sea Grant Opportunity
Eligible applicants: *. Applications are due: Sep 15, 2022
Note: This opportunity is part of a series of grant opportunities that NOAA released on June 29th. You can find the news release here and the list of associated funding opportunities here. This program is a great (albeit financially small) opportunity for localities focused on the “blue economy” to receive support.
Editors note: While applications must be submitted by Sea Grant programs, other institutions can partner with Sea Grant programs to do so, and the grant has quite broad eligible uses. As a result, this can be a great opportunity for a community to obtain additional dollars for planning.

Enhance community literacy around marine debris through formal and informal education
Educate and develop a local marine debris-aware workforce (e.g. fishers, harbormasters, charter boat operators, waterfront business owners, etc.)
