Natural Resources Conservation Service announces $1.5M for Energy Technical Assistance in Ohio

Opportunity: Ohio Natural Resources Conservation Service Energy Technical Assistance (FY 2024)
Overview and Eligible Uses: The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is directing resources toward climate-smart agriculture and forestry (CSAF) conservation practices, including those for energy efficiency. NRCS is providing funding for a partnership to provide technical assistance to NRCS and producers on energy practices. NRCS is seeking a partner who can deliver technical assistance to the producers it works with, performance may include any part or all operations necessary to complete energy audits, designs, inspections, and documentation of the installation of energy practices according to NRCS standards and specifications.
This solicitation is for conservation practices located in Ohio.
Amount: NRCS expects to make 2 awards of at least $100K.
Award Type: Cooperative agreements
Eligible Applicants: Special district governments, Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized), County governments, Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities, Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education, City or township governments, Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments), State governments, Public and State controlled institutions of higher education, Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education.
Key Dates: Applications must be received by 11:59 pm ET on May 24, 2024. The agency anticipates making selections by June 24, 2024 and expects to execute awards by July 24, 2024.
