HUD Announces $221M Program for Housing and Community Development

Opportunity: Indian Housing Block Grant Competitive Program (HUD) and the Indian Community Development Block Grant Program (HUD)
Overview and Eligible Uses:
For the Housing Block Grants: New housing construction projects, housing rehabilitation projects, acquisition of existing housing units that increase affordable housing stock, and necessary affordable housing-related infrastructure projects.
For the Community Development Block Grants: The rehabilitation of decent housing, infrastructure, community facilities, and economic opportunities primarily for people with low and moderate incomes.
Amount:
For the Indian Housing Block Grant Program, about 25 awards between $500k and $7.5M, up to a total of ~$129M
For the for the Indian Community Development Block Grant Program, about 80 awards between $500k and $5M, up to a total of ~$92M

Eligible Applicants: Native American Tribal Governments and Organizations
