FCC Opens $80M Grant Program for Broadband Adoption

Overview and Eligible Uses: The Affordable Connectivity Program is a $14.2 billion FCC benefit program that helps ensure that qualifying low-income households can afford the broadband they need for work, school, healthcare and more by offering up to $30 off monthly internet service costs.
The goal of the ACP Outreach Grant Program is to facilitate the promotion of the ACP and increase awareness of and participation in the ACP among eligible households. To support this goal, the FCC is providing federal financial assistance through the ACP Outreach Grant Program to engage in targeted outreach to low-income households and tribes nationwide.
The FCC is offering $70M for National and Tribal Competitive Outreach Programs, and $10M for the Your Home, Your Internet Outreach Grant and Navigator Pilot Program. YHYI grant recipients must focus their outreach on those receiving federal housing assistance. Navigator grant recipients will help coordinate the outreach activities of other ACP Outreach Grant recipients.
Amount: 200-400 awards for up to $70M in total funding for the NCOP and TCOP programs, and 40 awards for up to $10M in total funding for the two pilot programs.

Eligible Applicants: Eligibility is very wide and includes: state governments, territory governments, local governments, tribal governments, public or tribal housing agencies; social service providers, education organizations, non-profit organizations (501(c)(3) status is not required); community-based organizations (including faith-based organizations and social service organizations)
