Opportunity: Technical Assistance to Brownfields Communities (EPA)
Overview and Eligible Uses: EPA’s Office of Brownfields and Land Revitalization (OBLR) is soliciting applications for technical assistance providers who will assist communities facing brownfields challenges. Technical assistance providers will receive funding to help communities tackle the challenge of assessing, cleaning up and preparing brownfield sites for redevelopment, especially underserved/rural/small and distressed communities. Technical Assistance to Brownfields providers serve as an independent resource and can provide specialized technical knowledge, research, and training to help stakeholders understand the complex brownfields-related subject matter, and guide them through the brownfield assessment, cleanup, and revitalization process.
Amount: Grants of up to $5M for up to $53M in total funding
Award Type: Competitive grant / cooperative agreement
Eligible Applicants: Local governments, land clearance authorities, Indian tribes, nonprofits, and community development entities.
