EPA Opens $550M Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Grantmaking Program

Opportunity: EPA Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Grantmaking Program (EJ TCGM)
Overview and Eligible Uses: Under this pass-through program, EPA will
select entities to sub-award environmental justice grants to community-based nonprofits and other eligible groups addressing local environmental and/or public health issues in underserved and disadvantaged communities. Grantees will design and build their own processes for sub-awarding funds, pursuant to program guidelines.
Amount: A total of $550M is available. EPA anticipates making 11 geographically distributed awards of $50M each.
Award Type: Cooperative agreement
Eligible Applicants: Eligible applicants include community-based nonprofit organizations, either directly or in partnership with one another, with federally-recognized tribal governments, or with institutions of higher learning.
