Overview and Eligible Uses: Recipients are expected to offer technical assistance to aid communities in achieving compliance with environmental regulations and maximizing the use of federal investments from the EPA. This may involve assisting communities in preparing for and accessing the substantial funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) through the Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) programs. Collaboratively with the EPA, recipients will identify the necessary tools, research, and data to support effective implementation of environmental regulations and infrastructure investments. Eligible services include preparing potential grant recipients for successful data management, supporting evidence-based decision-making, and facilitating program evaluation through various qualitative and quantitative methods. Additional activities encompass community engagement, building databases, dissemination of findings, and streamlining data collection processes to enhance community capacity for evidence-based policymaking.
Amount: Estimated total funding is $4M with maximum awards of $500,000
