Opportunity: Port Infrastructure Development Program
Overview and Eligible Uses: The Port Infrastructure Development Program (PIDP) funds projects that enhance port safety, efficiency, and reliability while advancing climate resilience, equity, and workforce development. It prioritizes reducing emissions, mitigating environmental harm, and benefiting disadvantaged communities under the Justice40 Initiative. PIDP also supports job creation, strong labor standards, and inclusive economic growth through Disadvantaged Business Enterprises and 8(a) firms.
Amount: Roughly $450,000,000 in funding will be available for FY 2025 funding opportunity.
Award Type: Grant
Eligible Applicants:
A State;
A political subdivision of a State, or a local government;
A public agency or publicly chartered authority established by 1 or more States;
A special purpose district with a transportation function;
An Indian Tribe, or a consortium of Indian Tribes;
A multistate or multijurisdictional group of entities described above;
A lead entity described above jointly with a private entity or group of private entities, including the owners or operators of a facility, or collection of facilities at a port.
