DOT Opens $343M All Stations Accessibility Program

Opportunity: FTA FY 2024 All Stations Accessibility Program (ASAP)
Overview and Eligible Uses: The ASAP Program aims to upgrade the accessibility of legacy rail public transportation systems (e.g., subway, commuter rail, light rail) that are not currently fully accessible for people with disabilities.
The program supports:
“capital projects to repair, improve, modify, retrofit, or relocate infrastructure of stations or facilities for passenger use”; or
“planning projects to develop or modify a plan for pursuing public transportation accessibility projects, assessments of accessibility, or assessments of planned modifications to stations or facilities for passenger use”
Amount: A total of $343M is available for this opportunity. The maximum federal project share is 80%.

Eligible Applicants: Eligible applicants are state, territory, and local governments that operate or support “legacy” fixed rail systems and corresponding facilities
