Opportunity: Advancing Sustainability and Resilience in Pavements
Overview and Eligible Uses:
This agreement will support efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the transportation sector, incorporate evidence-based climate resilience measures and features, reduce the lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions from the project materials, and avoid adverse environmental impacts to air or water quality, wetlands, and endangered species, and address the disproportionate negative environmental impacts of transportation on disadvantaged communities.
Amount: The NOFO will lead to one cost-reimbursable cooperative agreement. The FHWA expects to provide federal funding of up to $1,500,000 per year for this agreement, with a potential total federal share of $7,500,000, subject to fund availability
