Overview and Eligible Uses: The Bureau of Land Management Headquarters Oregon/Washington (ORWA) Forest and Woodland Resource Management Program oversees extensive forest and woodland areas across multiple states, aiming to enhance their resilience to various threats such as wildfires, insects, disease, and drought. This program supports the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and projects funded through the Inflation Reduction Act, focusing on forest health, sustainable management, and habitat conservation. Eligible project activities include tree planting, thinning, salvage treatments, vegetation control, fuels reduction, and ecosystem restoration. Priority activities involve project preparation, administration, and implementation, aligning with the program's strategic goals of implementing science-based restoration, sustainable harvesting, and expediting NEPA processes to mitigate wildfire risks and support local economies.
Amount: Estimated total funding is $500,000 with maximum awards of $250,000 and minimum awards of $25,000
