Overview and Eligible Uses: The BLM ID Invasive and Noxious Plant Management Programs work to prevent, detect, inventory, control, and monitor weed populations on public lands. This announcement is prioritizing noxious and invasive weed control effort-related activites.
The BLM ID Cultural Heritage and Paleontology Programs seek to develop partnerships to improve access to and use of heritage resources, and promote their educational, scientific, cultural, and recreational values in a manner that meets U.S. Department of the Interior priorities and program goals. Priority activities under this program include “conducting archaeological field school.”
The BLM ID Threatened and Endangered Species Program works to conserve and recover over 330 federally-listed and over 2,700 Bureau sensitive animal and plant species and their habitat on public lands. The State office is looking for projects that are state or regional in scope or projects that provide a programmatic approach for improving the Bureau effectiveness or efficiency. Priority activities under this announcement include habitat restoration, research, and rare plant and animal surveys.
Amount: The BLM ID Invasive and Noxious Plant Management Programs estimate $500K in total funding for awards between $200K and $300K.
The BLM ID Cultural Heritage and Paleontology Programs estimate one award of $32K.
The BLM ID Threatened and Endangered Species Program estimates a total of $100K in program funding for three awards between $25K and $100K.
Award Type: Cooperative Agreement
Eligible Applicants: State, County, City or township, and special district governments; independent school districts; Public and State controlled institutions of higher education; Native American tribal governments and organizations; Public or Indian housing authorities; Nonprofits (with or without 501(c)(3) status); and private institutions of higher education.
Individuals and For-Profit Organizations are ineligible to apply for awards under these NOFOs.
