Overview and Eligible Uses: The objective of this NOFO is to invite states
Amount: Awards will range from $10K to $300K; approximately 25 to 30 projects per application submittal period will be awarded, contingent on appropriations.
Award Type: Cooperative Agreement Grant
Eligible Applicants: for as a New Watershed Group abd Existing Watershed Group:
states,
Indian Tribes,
local and special districts (e.g., irrigation, water districts, water conservation districts),
local governmental entities,
interstate organizations, and
non-profit organizations.
Applicants must meet specific criteria based on their group type. New Watershed Group applicants must lead the development of a new watershed group, demonstrate impact on water quality/quantity, and advocate for sustainable water use.
Applicants for Existing Watershed Group awards must adhere to Section A.3's definition, have non-profit status, and actively participate or sponsor such groups.
All applicants (except non-profits) should be in listed states/territories. Non-profits must be in these areas and sponsor group development.
Key Dates: The first applications are due December 5, 2023 and the second application is due September 3, 2024.
