DOI Bureau of Land Management New Mexico Opens More Than $15M Across 10 Funding Opportunities

Rangeland Resource Management
Good Neighbor Authority
Fuels Management and Community Fire Assistance
Cultural and Paleontological Resource Management
Recreation and Visitor Services
Threatened and Endangered Species Program
Plant Conservation and Restoration Management
Environmental Quality Protection
Wildlife Program
Invasive and Noxious Plant Management
Overview and Eligible Uses: These programs provide support for a host of activities related to public land stewardship, including assessments of soil and vegetation health, landscape management, fire and fuels management, cultural and paleontological heritage site management, recreational access, endangered species awareness, plant conservation and restoration, watershed management, wildlife habitat management, and others.
Amount: Total program funding is estimated to exceed $15,000,000 across all ten opportunities, with individual award sizes ranging from $10,000 to $10,000,000.
Award Type: Cooperative Agreements
Eligible Applicants: Eligible applicants vary by program, but for most opportunities include:
State governments
County governments
City or township governments
Special district governments Independent school districts
Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments)
Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
Nonprofits without 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
Private institutions of higher education
Key Dates:
Submission deadline for most opportunities is February 26, 2025.
Fuels Management and Community Fire Assistance program and Invasive and Noxious Plant Management program applications are due March 10, 2025
