Opportunity: Funding Opportunity Announcement for WAP Enhancement and Innovation Grant
Overview and Eligible Uses: This FOA seeks applications to expand the impact of DOE’s existing residential weatherization programs by utilizing leveraged resources and enhanced community partnerships to perform deep energy retrofits of low-income residential buildings and empower local community representation within the energy workforce. DOE seeks proposals that drive innovative approaches to program coordination and service delivery, while fostering the collaboration of dynamic and diverse teams.
Applicants can apply for one of the following three topic areas:
Multifamily Housing
Single Family and Manufactured Housing
Workforce Development
Amount: DOE State and Community Energy Programs expect to fund 17 awards ranging from $500K to $2M
Award Type: Discretionary grant
Eligible Applicants: Eligibility is limited to current WAP Grantees and Subgrantees, as well as nonprofit entities (501(c) organizations)
Key Dates: Concept Papers are due August 31, 2023. Full applications are due January 5, 2024. The State and Community Energy Programs office will host and record an informational webinar on July 20, 2023 at 2:00pm ET.
