Opportunity: DOE Carbon Capture Demonstration Projects Program
Overview and Eligible Uses: This program seeks applicants to advance commercial-scale integrated carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies that capture, transport and store CO2 emissions. Specifically, this opportunity seeks opportunities to advance CCS technologies at 2 coal electric generation facilities, 2 natural gas electric generation facilities, and 2 non-generating industrial facilities.
Amount: A total of $1.7B is available for six projects, with a maximum federal award size of $350M.
Award Type: Cooperative agreement, with up to 50% federal cost share.
Eligible Applicants: Eligible entities include industry stakeholders; institutions of higher education; nonprofit and for-profit entities; state, tribal, and local government units; and consortia/collaborations of the above.
Key Dates: Letters of intent are due March 28, 2023, and applications are due May 23, 2023.
