DOE Announces Intent to Open Applications for $350M on Advanced Energy Property Projects

Opportunity: Bipartisan Infrastructure Law: Advanced Energy Manufacturing and Recycling Grant Program (Section 40209)
Overview and Eligible Uses: The anticipated FOA will provide direct financial assistance for small- and medium-sized manufacturers to focus on Advanced Energy Property Projects that build new, re-equip, or expand existing clean energy manufacturing or recycling facilities in coal transition communities.
Amount: Up to 35 awards will be made worth $10M to $100M each, for a total of $350M in funding.
Award Type: Competitive grant
Eligible Applicants: Manufactures that comply with the eligibility criteria:
Gross annual sales of less than $100,000,000;
Fewer than 500 employees at the plant site of the manufacturing firm;
Annual energy bills that total more than $100,000 but less than $2,500,000
*Priority will be given to minority-owned firms,
