Department of Interior's Bureau of Land Management Opens $13.65M for Montana and Dakota

Opportunities: BLM Alaska IIJA Plant Conservation and Restoration Management Program and BLM Alaska IIJA Invasive and Noxious Plant Management
Overview and Eligible Uses:
1.) Alaska Plant Conservation and Restoration Management Program: Projects must work to improv the availability and use of locally adapted, genetically appropriate native seed for restoration.
2.) Alaska Invasive and Noxious Plant Management: Projects must work to prevent, detect, inventory, control, and monitor weed populations on public lands.
Amount: A total of $600,000 is available for the Plant Conservation and Restoration Management Program, distributed across a total of 5 awards between $5,000 and $250,000. A total of $300,000 is available for the Invasive and Noxious Plant Management Program, distributed across a total of 4 awards between $5,000 and $200,000.
Award Type: Cooperative agreement

Nonprofits with or without 501(c)(3) status
State, county, city and township governments
Public and private institutions of higher education
Native American tribal organizations and governments
Special district governments
Independent school districts
Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities
Key Dates: Applications for both programs are due May 9, 2023.
