Bureau of Reclamation Opens $320M for Tribal Domestic Water Supply Projects

Opportunity: Department of Interior Bureau of Reclamation Tribal Domestic Water Supply Projects
Overview and Eligible Uses: This program supports federally recognized Tribes and Tribal organizations in the planning, design, and construction of domestic water infrastructure. Eligible projects include new domestic water supply infrastructure, improvements to existing infrastructure and facilities, extension of existing infrastructure and facilities to reach underserved service areas, and other projects that assess and address urgen water-related needs, among others. A range of infrastructure types are eligible, including pumps, pipes, wells, distribution systems, storage, treatment facilities, buildings and power transmission facilities related to water provision, among others.
Amount: A total of $320M is availalble for Phase 1 projects. Phase 2 awards are expected at a later date. Maximum award sizes vary by category:
Planning: up to $3M
Design: up to $5M
Construction: up to $50M
Award Type: Grants or cooperative agreements
