Bureau of Land Management Opens $5M for Aquatic Resource Management

Opportunity: Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Aquatic Resource Management
Overview and Eligible Uses: This opportunity supports a range of activities related to BLM aquatic resources, including riparian and wetland areas, aquatic habitats, and water resources. Potential activities include habitat preservation and restoration, invasive species prevention, aquatic resource resilience, and increasing public awareness of BLM aquatic resources.
Separate NOFOs are available from the BLM HQ and BLM Eastern States, which manages land east of the Mississippi River.
Projects supported by the program are funded by the BIL and IRA.
Amount: Total funding is $5M for the national opportunity and $70k for the Eastern States opportunity. A total of 7 awards are anticipated (5 from HQ and 2 from Eastern States). National awards range from $50k to $1M, while Eastern States awards range from $20k to $50k.
Award Type: Cooperative Agreement
Eligible Applicants: A wide range of applicant types are eligible. Individuals and for-profit entities are not eligible to apply.
