Opportunity: FY24 IIJA/IRA Bureau of Land Management New Mexico (NM) Cooperative Inspection Agreements with States and Tribes
Overview and Eligible Uses: Program outcomes include:
Employment of Native Americans which will stimulate the Nation’s economy.
Satisfying the BLM requirement for Oil & Gas Inspection and Enforcement requirements per FOGRMA.
Training of Native American Inspectors per the National Certification Program for Oil & Gas I & E Personnel.
Inspections of minimum of one-fifth (1/5th) of the Nation’s leases on an annual basis.
Issuance of emergency on-site shut-in notices when there is an imminent threat to health and safety or illegal removal of hydrocarbon products discovered.
Issuance of Incidents of Noncompliance (INC), if any, and any necessary follow-up.
Notification given to BLM of any INCs issued.

Amount: The estimated total program funding is $1,500,000 with an award ceiling of $1,200,000 and an award floor of $400,000

Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments)
State governments
Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
Key Dates: Applications are due by May 15, 2024 at 5:00pm ET.
