Overview and Eligible Uses: The Bureau of Land Management New Mexico Rangeland Management Program administers grazing for more than 155 million acres of public land. This includes, but is not limited to, such things as inventorying, controlling, and managing noxious weeds and invasive species; improving rangelands through grazing management, vegetation restoration treatments, and grazing management structures; and soil resource management. Funded projects under this program will focus on high priority work effecting the program nationally crossing state boundaries such as activities that support maintaining or achieving land health and productivity, increasing carbon sequestration, and creating resilient landscapes to benefit current and future generations.
This program supports projects funded by BIL and IRA.
Amount: 7 awards, ranging from $75k to $300k
Award Type: Cooperative Agreement
Eligible Applicants:
State, Special District, County, Native American tribal, City, or township governments.
Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities.
Independent school districts.
Private or Public and State controlled institutions of higher education.
Native American tribal organizations.
Nonprofits.
*Individuals and for-profit organizations are not eligible to apply.
