Opportunity: FY25 IIJA/IRA Bureau of Land Management Headquarters (HQ) Plant Conservation and Restoration Management
Overview and Eligible Uses: The program aims to conserve and restore native plant communities by implementing the National Native Seed Strategy and developing genetically diverse, locally sourced seeds for large-scale restoration. It focuses on protecting rare plant species through seed banking, research, and habitat restoration, while ensuring resilience to stressors like drought, wildfire, and invasive species. Additionally, it emphasizes public education and collaboration with farmers and conservationists to expand restoration efforts and promote biodiversity conservation.
Amount: DOI Bureau of Land Management anticipates awarding up to $10,000,000 for 5 awards, ranging from $500,000 to $5,000,000 each.
