Overview and Eligible Uses: The Bureau of Land Management California has an opportunity to work with partner organizations to assist in the following programs :
Threatened and Endangered Species Program: Proposed projects should address the impact of the climate crisis and ecosystem approaches for managing multiple listed and sensitive species, pollinator conservation and management, ensuring habitat connectivity, and updating outreach and education materials.
Fuels Management and Community Fire Assistance Program: Proposed projects should assist BLM in addressing the effects of climate change by working to create resilient landscapes and communities, create jobs, and further conservation and restoration efforts by providing an opportunity to support planning and implementation of hazardous fuels reduction projects in wild-land urban interface areas and education and outreach programs that help create fire adapted communities and resilient landscapes.
Amount: The Threatened and Endangered Species Program has a total estimated budget of $2.5 million, to be awarded to 40 recipients ranging from $5,000 to $250,000. The Fire Assistance Program also has an estimated budget of $50 million, to be awarded to at least 5 recipients ranging from $50,000 to $10 million.

Key Dates : Applications for the Endangered Species Program are due May 5, 2023 and applications for the Fire Assistance Program are due May 6, 2023.
