Opportunity: Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Alaska Cultural Heritage and Paleontology Programs
Overview and Eligible Uses: BLM Alaska manages “heritage resources” - sites and artifacts of archaeological and historic significance to Native Americans and other communities, as well as paleontological resources on federal lands in Alaska.
This opportunity will fund a range of projects that seek to promote and improve access to and use of these heritage resources on federal lands in Alaska.
The heritage resource program supports projects funded by BIL and IRA.
Amount: $1.4M is being made available under this opportunity. Award sizes range from $5k to $1.3M, and a total of 3 awards are anticipated.
Award Type: Cooperative agreement
Eligible Applicants: A wide range of applicant types are eligible, including state and local governments, nonprofit organizations, federally recognized Tribal governments, and institutions of higher learning, among others. Individuals and for-profit organizations are not eligible to apply.
