BLM Wyoming Opens Funding for Plant Conservation and Restoration Management Program

Overview and Eligible Uses: The Wyoming BLM is looking for partner organizations to advance the Plant Conservation and Restoration Management Program (PCRP)
The program supports projects funded by BIL and IRA.
Amount: Award sizes range from $5k to $125k. The actual number of awards will depend on the number of meritorious applications and the availability of appropriated funds. Potential projects awarded under this grant include but are not limited to:
Support habitat management efforts and conservation actions for high-priority rare plant species
Work with growers to develop genetically appropriate native plant material for habitat restoration and rehabilitation.
Support studies to improve the effectiveness of conservation-restoration efforts and to increase knowledge on the importance of native plant communities and pollinators in restoring durability and ecological function.
Increase understanding of rare plant biology and threats.
Expand public education programs and outreach on native plants and native plant communities.
Award Type: Cooperative agreement
Eligible Applicants:
State, Special District, County, Native American tribal, City, or township governments.
Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities.
Independent school districts.
Private or Public and State controlled institutions of higher education.
Native American tribal organizations.
Nonprofits.
*Individuals and for-profit organizations are not eligible to apply.
