BLM opens applications for Oregon/Washington Forest and Woodland Resource Management Program
Eligible applicants: states, tribal entities, local governments, nonprofits, local authorities, higher education institutions. Applications are due: April 14, 2023

Opportunity: IIJA Bureau of Land Management Oregon/Washington Forest and Woodlands Resource Management
Overview and Eligible Uses: The Forest and Woodland Resource Management Program manages and conserves 58 million acres of forest and woodland in 12 western States and Alaska. Funded projects under this program include preparation, administration, or implementation projects that treat forests and woodlands, such as:
Implement science-based forest restoration projects to improve forest health and resilience
Sustainable harvest of forests and woodlands
Salvage dead and dying timber to reduce fuels while supporting local economies.
Provide the public with commercial and personal use opportunities to harvest products
Expedite the NEPA processes to accelerate the removal of beetle-killed timber to reduce the risk of catastrophic fire and minimize risks to the recreating public.
Amount: Awards will range between $20,000 and $500,000

Eligible Applicants: State, County, City/Township, or Special district governments; Independent school districts; Private, Public, or State institutions of higher education; Native American tribal governments or organizations; Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities; Nonprofits, other than institutions of higher education
