BLM Opens Applications for $0.5M Rangeland Resource Management

Overview and Eligible Uses:
BLM is seeking to fund applicants that support maintaining or achieving land health and productivity, increasing carbon sequestration, and creating resilient landscapes to benefit current and future generations. The activities funded could include, but are not limited to, such things as:
Vegetation monitoring or restoration treatments.
Installation, maintenance, and monitoring of erosion control structures.
Soils mapping and development of ecological site descriptions.
Engagement of community members and other stakeholders, through mentoring, training, and educational programs.
Project development and layout.
Planning analysis and document preparation as appropriate, to carry out land use planning decisions, and Endangered Species requirements. • Cultural survey and assessment, data collection, and monitoring.
Amount: Individual awards will be for $10K to $100K for a total of up to $0.5M in total funding
Award Type: Cooperative agreement
Eligible Applicants: State, County, Local, Native American tribal, and special district governments; Independent school districts; Public/Private Institutions of higher education; Public/ Indian housing authorities, Native American tribal organizations; and Nonprofits
Key Dates:
Round One Applications are due February 14, 2022
Round Two Applications are due March 16, 2023
Final Round Applications are due April 17, 2023
