BLM Opens $700K for Alaska Threatened and Endangered Species Program

Opportunity: IIJA Bureau of Land Management Alaska Threatened and Endangered Species Program
Overview and Eligible Uses: The BLM Alaska Threatened and Endangered Species Program works to conserve and recover federally-listed and Bureau sensitive animal and plant species and their habitat on public
lands. The BLM Alaska Threatened and Endangered Species Program priorities in FY 2023 are addressing the impact of the climate crisis and ecosystem approaches for managing multiple listed and sensitive species, pollinator conservation and management, ensuring habitat connectivity, and updating outreach/education materials, including the Program’s public facing website. Projects can focus on conservation implementation, data collection, or public engagement efforts.
Amount: Up to five awards will be issued, ranging from $5,000 to $200,000, with $700,000 total available.

State, county, city, or township governments and special district governments
Public, state controlled, and private institutions of higher education
Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities
Federally and non-Federally recognized Native American tribal organizations
Nonprofits with or without a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
Independent school districts
