BLM Opens $335K for Nevada Rangeland Resource Management

Opportunity: Nevada Rangeland Resource Management
Overview and Eligible Uses: Funded projects under this program will focus on high priority work such effecting the program nationally crossing state boundaries, such as, activities that support maintaining or achieving land health and productivity, increasing carbon sequestration, and creating resilient landscapes to benefit current and future generations. This program administers grazing for 155 million acres of public land, and is funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. These activities could include, but are not limited to, such things as:
Facilitating the conservation and restoration of rangelands to combat climate change.
Soils mapping and development of ecological site descriptions.
Engagement of community members and other stakeholders, through mentoring, training,and educational programs.
Amount: $355,000 awarded to one grantee
Award Type: Cooperative agreement
Eligible Applicants:
State, county, city or township governments
Federally and non-Federally recognized Native American tribal organizations
Private, public and State controlled institutions of higher education
Nonprofits with or without 501(c)(3) status with the IRS
Independent school districts
Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities
Special district governments
