BLM Colorado Opens $750K for Recreation and Visitor Services

Opportunity: IIJA Bureau of Land Management Utah Recreation and Visitor Services
Overview and Eligible Uses: The BLM’s Recreation and Visitor Services Program oversees a broad and complex set of recreation-related programs that provide many recreation opportunities and experiences. BLM Utah has an opportunity to work with partner organizations to assist with the following:
Increase and enhance recreational opportunities and access to BLM public lands and waters.
Collect visitor and recreation resource data by conducting inventories and visitor assessments.
Conduct inventory, monitoring, data management, assessment, and planning on BLM public lands and waters.
Protect visitor health and safety.
Improve motorized and non-motorized trails, including trail construction and maintenance, comprehensive travel and transportation inventory and assessment, planning management, and monitoring.
Enhance community-supported tourism, marketing, and conservation partnerships, including relationships with sovereign Tribal nations.
Develop and offer training and education, including workshops and webinars.
Amount: $750,000 total; five awards are anticipated, worth between $2,500 and $250,000.

Federally and non-Federally recognized Native American tribal organizations.
Private, public, and State controlled institutions of higher education
Nonprofits with or without 501(c)(3) status with the IRS
Independent school districts
Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities
Special district governments
