Opportunity: Rural Energy for America Program Technical Assistance Grant Program for Fiscal Year 2023
Overview and Eligible Uses: The Rural Business Cooperative Service of USDA announced that it is accepting applications for the Rural Energy for America (REAP) Technical Assistance Grant (TAG) Program for fiscal year (FY) 2023. These grants will provide technical assistance to agricultural producers and rural small businesses applying to REAP, prioritizing those who are assisting distressed/disadvantaged communities, pursuing projects using underutilized technologies, and pursuing projects under $20,000.
Amount: The FY 2023 total funding amount for this program is $21,250,000. Grant awards will range between $100k and $500k for selected applicants.

State, Tribal, or local government
A land-grant college or university, or other Institution of Higher Education
An electric cooperative, public power entity, or an investor-owned utility
A Council, as defined under the Resource Conservation and Development Program, at 16 U.S.C. 3451
Not-for-profit entity
For-profit entities, sole proprietor businesses, or other business entities (organized pursuant to Federal, State, or Tribal law).
Key Dates:
Paper submissions are due by 4pm local time on August 15, 2023
Electronic submissions (via grants.gov or to a RDSO State Energy Coordinator via email) are due by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on
August 15, 2023.
